Eidsvoll Manor
Eidsvoll Manor is accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. There is a stair lift to the basement level, step-free access to the first floor, and an elevator between the first and second floors (where the Hall of Mirrors is located). Please notify us upon arrival (when selecting your guided tour), and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.
Portable folding chairs are available for those who need to rest during tours.
Parking
Designated accessible parking spaces (marked with the international symbol of accessibility) are located both in the main parking area and near the entrance to Wergeland’s House/Café Standpunkt. From there, a gently sloped, wheelchair-accessible gravel path leads to the main entrance.
Wergeland’s House – The Democracy Center
Wergeland’s House houses the reception area, Café Standpunkt, and exhibition spaces. It offers threshold-free access to both the café and exhibits, as well as a wheelchair lift connecting the two levels of the exhibition area. The building is also adapted for visitors who are blind or visually impaired, with floor markings and contrasting surfaces for better orientation.
Accessible Restrooms
Two accessible restrooms are available in the Wergeland’s House visitor center.
